Gd morning . I applied for a new Indian passport 3 months back. I got it last week with a mistake in the address page ie, in the 36th page. This is not my fault . If someone has a similar problem I will tell you the procedure to correct the passport without any further complications and fine. You may first wrote a complaint in a piece of white paper regarding the mistake in the passport to the Passport Officer . It is considered as an application for a new passport with zero fee(Only if there is no fault from your side). A new Passport with a new number with correct address will be get in a week. I got it in the 4th day of the application. Hope the information is helpful to you.
